C2, you are disagreeing without disagreeing. You reiterated what I wrote. What you wrote is quite correct. And that's what I wrote too, in a different way.

For nearly half a century since I started understanding what was going on with dilution and inflation the process has seemed outright thievery and destructive. I accept that it's just another way of collecting taxes, and it's a very efficient way to do it, with no form filling. If they spent the taxes on actually useful things, I'd be okay with it too. But most of the money is down the gurgler paying total losers like Mke Huckabee and Sarah Palin to threaten to murder Julian Assange for example and for Bush to pretend to be looking for WMDs when he really just wanted to get Saddam and Uday and the oil and get the price of oil up. A $trillion and great death and destruction to swap one barbarian [Saddam] for others [Iran's mates] was hardly a good investment.
