Am quiet sure there are iron ages happening right now in the Universe , wait.... better to say "happened" or will happen millions of yrs from now on other planets and sure they also go thru piling stones on top of each other as well. Its no illusion this element we call "iron" for its one of the most stable expressions of atomic joinings where all elements heavier will tend to lose energy & seek to be it and all elements lighter fuse up to this in the core of suns . Of course that was one major transition & skill sets learned also fusing plentiful sand into glass /beads then later less plentiful but abundant mallable copper with zinc into bronze . (Thank the stars there's lots of silicon with 7bil people soon to turn into 12bil...cant eat silicon though )
