We just do not appreciate how fortunate we are. Here we are--a species which has survived to possess true sentience and the use of tools. Mastering chemistry and all the sciences and applied sciences and finding the answers to millions of"whys"...but we would play this multi-table reality poker game across the globe with real guns and bullets. Even the "civilized" games...still the same old game of alpha wolf and king of the mountain... Still, if we were truly civilized we would hold an "Olympics" for everything, although I am unsure how selling drugs, advanced rent collection techniques, and best secret messages of God and which Nations truly are chosen people could be incorporated into the schema...
