Thanks Tim. I am retired now for 3 wonderful years. In all my years I never saw anyone's wealth as having been taken from me. Rather I aspired to mirror their success in my own achievements. In so doing there were life choices I made that limited my career - choices I do not regret. These limits were self imposed and not due to someone else taking from me.

This whole issue of "fairness" will become interesting when someone asks Obama what his definition of a fair is. I doubt he has any idea - other than more so he can lie more to the electorate.

On a serious note - what is "fair"? On an even more serious note - how should capital gains be taxed in our nation. How should dividends be taxed? Should we do away with tax free munies and make the people pay full price for schools etc.

What is fair?

I submit life is simply not fair and if we are all to be equal we can look to the poverty of the Soviet Union for how that story would end - of course the politicians there were not equally poor. Human beings respond to incentives. Those who work harder deserve to be paid more - we all need their work.

Fair - I submit fair is simply the campaign rhetoric of a fool whose policies have failed and is desperate for some line to fool the ignorant so that his sorry record of economic ruin can continue for four more years. Yes - if everyone is miserable - I guess it would be fair.
