Think of society as an army. We must always be militarily vigilant. An army is strongest when the most people are strong.

what does this have to do with income inequality?

The modern day army requires brain power and we are losing out to the Chinese big time. The next war will be fought with computers.; and to put it concretely: "their computers are stronger than ours!"

then we'll have to pay our scientists more than theirs. and you have to look at 'real' income. that is, not just how much they're paid, but how much it costs them to live.

I could go on to talk about quantum computer superiority and the encryption problems that will create for our banks and missle silos.

the superiority comes from having an expanding economy. they've stolen what they can and are buying and inventing the rest. the buying and inventing are coming from their growing wealth. wealth that is coming from their slow but steady march into capitalism, the thing you hate.

Liberals see that.

maybe, but they don't have the foggiest idea what to do about it.
