Baltic Dry Index plummets. As it did going into the early 1980s and the early 1990s [as they say in that article] and what happened to the price of gold then? Oh dear - not good for gold bugs. And what happened to the price of oil? It went from $40 per barrel down to $10 [from the 1979 peak].
