Bill,

You know about a lot. I bought INTC and AMAT calls early this week. I think next week will be a strong week unless the Japan crisis shows up. After I sold my CSCO puts @77, I am all calls now. Besides PG, what do you have?

Regards,
AK

It's tempting to dismiss SE Asia's impact on SemiEquip Mfgs, but don't. Take a look at

techweb.com

... the nation's troubles are beginning to filter down to its mighty electronic companies.

For example, unable to get capital in the local market, Samsung Electronics -- the nation's largest chip maker -- has reportedly failed in raising the necessary funds for a wafer-fab expansion plan in an offshore offering, commonly called global depository receipts (GDRs), several sources said. Samsung hoped to generate $300 million in the GDR, but could only obtain $130 million, sources added.

It remains unclear what Samsung's next step will be to raise capital. Samsung officials in Seoul could not be reached on Friday.
