When stocks become hot for whatever reason, there are alot of trades made with the intention of "flipping". What I mean is, trades are executed for 10,000 20,000 30,000 shares or more and sold before the day is finished which can easily be done in a fast moving stock and the profit is made or lost. It is a dangerous game but it is magnified
now because the speculative markets don't provide many opportunities of this type. This was very common and prevalant in junior bull market of 1995, now the few opportunities that appear attract all the momentum types shall we say. It creates incredible volatitlty.
