I'm doing what I can to help the economy Bob. I bought a new 160 Gig iPod a few months back and a new 40 " TV on Thursday night. My previous 32 " Samsung TV apparently has a capacitor problem that they are promising to fix for free. It kept turning itself off an on until it stopped altogether. After a couple years of HDTV I just could not go back to a regular picture even for one weekend.

I took some profits this morning on a short term buy on some UMC shares I went long on a while back. I'm still thinking that whatever run we get in the market this year some profit taking would not be a bad idea.

No matter how many dollars are printed we still have a lot of problems no so well hidden in the economy that may result in another major sell off in the market in my humble opinion. Especially after the election. The need to paint a rosy picture, and do everything to get elected, or reelected, will be in the past while our problems will not be.

Problems like the highest number of unemployed people of working age since the great depression, a huge Federal Deficit and our country's inability to compete with a cheaper foreign labor force that actually wants to work.
