<<Sheffield expresses the hope that one day the Church will open up and begin to allow its members to more honestly examine its history and doctrine, but I don't think it will ever happen. The Church leadership really can't allow close examination of its doctrine, because it is based on a hoax, and there's a lot of evidence to prove that.>>

Actually true of all of them. Why the church had to go from a literal interpretation of the bible to an allegorical one at the turn of the last century. It was their only out given the age of enlightenment.

But the greatest irony, in my mind, was the Christian missionaries laughing at primitive tribal beliefs in places like Africa or New Guinea when what they were believing and selling was no less nonsensical.

I always wondered what exactly can these theology professors emeritus, at say Notra Dame or Harvard, be teaching absent any facts or logic?
