The impact of Paul's campaign is that no Paul supporter will ever vote republican ever again. It was made super clear that they are not welcome inside the "Bit Tent".

Okay, I agree. Consider the following possible stategy in the case of there being no clear winner going into the National Convention which determines who will be the Presidential Nominee. Consider Paul serving as a blocker for Gingrich and throwing his, Paul's, support to Gingrich during the conventions in the case in which there is no clear nominee going into the National Convention. Or would Paul throw his support to Romney? Even after Florida there is a long way to go on this nomination. jmho
