John Tavaras had 4 points last night and is now 4th in scoring in the league and only 5 points away from the leader. He has become much better scoring around the net , but is weak on breakaways. Earlier in the season, he was getting stoned a lot, looking for the perfect shot or placement of that shot. The worst is Grabner.

The Islanders are likely going to trade Nabakov for as high a draft pick as possible by the deadline. He still has it as a goalie, but is 36 with 303 wins. Montoya is one of the Islander goalies of the future. Poulin was called up from Bridgeport to play goalie last night to see if he is NHL ready. He looked very good and made some spectacular saves. I've been to Bridgeport and the Islanders have a stock pile of great players there from their very high draft picks. Tavaras is a former #1 pick and the Isles have 2 other #1s down there performing very well.

The veterans signed during the offseason, Wallace Pandolfo, Rollston have played poorly and are taking up spots. One of the youngsters was called up last night and played well.

I got tickets to the Islander/Philly game in Philly Tuesday Night.

II'm going to the Net game tonight against the Pistons. Center cout, second level for under $5 a ticket on the Net ticket exchange.

Mets, Jets, Nets and Islanders.

Rangers, Knicks, Yankees can go to fly a kite.
