They make kids go outside every 45 minutes. Have you ever been to Finland in the winter? The climate in Helsinki isn't too bad, but the coldest I have ever been was in Oulu in 1997.

We dope them up here. I live in a fairly rural area, large farms with large acreage 2 to 20 acre lots. The school bus stops at every driveway and the parents usually drive their kids up the lane to the school bus. I like the idea of giving the kids some recreation every 45 min or so. Problem is today they will all be playing on their i-phones. there is no reason (short of medical) for a kid to be fat. Just let them be kids and they will get the activity they need. lj
