Nothing more secular than the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (a document that explicitly does not mention God), well maybe the writings of founders like Paine and Jefferson might be a little more driven against organized Christian religion and its history. The primary problem with the state mixing religion is the commandment that says no other God but MINE. The ultimate ugly and ignorant strawman has to be this argument about a liberal or secular war against religion in America. However there is a war against Jesus and Christmas, its called greed and hate for "others" who look or live differently than Pat Robertson or Michael Savage preaches as correct.
