It seems to me that you do not have to close your puts on 3COM yet...and if they put it to you then you can sell you shares for a lost at that time, if you have to...I think with a little more upward movement on the stock, you should be able to roll the puts out and down in strike price for a credit...buying the puts back can be a mistake because you are paying for a time premium, unless, of course you think 3COM will sink...3COM's action this week tells me the worst is behind it...of course no one knows for sure...the news(earnings cut) did not hurt the stock...whenever I see a stock act well with bad news, I am very encouraged...also, lower expectations for future earnings is alway welcomed...in the long run(Spring time) this will pay off big time...hang in there....

Glen I know that you did not direct the question to me but if you would allow me to express another side of the equation.

The near term explosive growth of the networkers will come from the expansion of the internet in the USA, not in SEA. In the near term japan, China, Russia etc have to many internal money problems to even think about this facet of the problem.

The choke points experienced in the recent billion share trade day alerted the brokerage houses and other businesses that utilize the internet of the shortfalls in the equipment presently being used. I believe that you will see an enormous buildup shortly if it already hasn't started. If I am right than COMS is indeed cheap at these prices. I have put a significant amount of money in WDC, APM, and COMS since I believe they will be beneficiaries of the buildup.

Of course just my opinion for what it is worth!

Glen hope you are on the way back to financial health.
