Paul - don;t get me wrong. I don;t look at FCF to make buy/sell decisions. When i look at Cash flows, they are in addition to lot of other things.

CF tells me the health of the company, their liquidity position and then i put that in context of the business model the firm has and how much it burns. This is one of the few things I will use to cross check comments management makes in their calls to figure out, if they are honest or bullshitting....

CF position is a good indicator of a firm's health, health of their business and as a shareholder gives me an added comfort in investing in the stock.

I am back in chk , purchased a spec position in hdy and a small position in ebay. still think that the best rewards will be in silver and gold related stuff over the next few years. 70% of the demand of gold is now from two countries india and china. despite the huge increase in price production is up little. given that prnting presses continue to roll for yen, dollars and euros, I cant see how the prices of gold silver , plat and palladium arent going up multiples from here. This is not a value proposition just common sense one.
