Additonal info on the Ekhard's "Why the dividend ?" answer 1) 15yrs CPQ has not paid a div but has been accumualting significant cash 2) At the stock holders meeting it has been an often asked question about paying a dividend 3) Expression of our (CPQ's) confidence in the future of CPQ 4) Essential in broadening the hareholder base. As splits have occurred shareholders have gone from 15,000 to over 400,000 and with the upcoming split we think we see again a significant increase of the base

John, I hear that Rukeyser is going to have Bart Simpson on next week... we'll get a deeper level on pc industry then... Of course , you know that Soros and I turned down the show next week and Rukuyser had to scramble and get Simpson..
