I bought Sasol recently; it sounds like the company most focussed on making liquid fuels from natural gas. Planning a huge plant in Louisana. SSL has the technology because South Africa has been making its own oil for a long time, though mainly from coal, I think.

My theory was that Canadian Oil Sands was benefitting from the NG/oil spread, but it is so extreme now that it might hold down the price of oil. Still, COS does use a lot of gas in converting bitumen to syncrude. So it keeps the expenses down. I'd like to see bigger distributions. The yield is under 5%. But at least it is a real moneymaker.
