Hi KLP,

I've been out of radio, Internet and TV shot till now and I have to say it was lovely while it lasted. ;)

Anyway..............back to reality..!

I'm as disgusted with the media as anyone, but it is a fact of life our candidates have to really choose their words carefully........and imo the way the media takes things they say out of context is common knowledge. Republicans have always taken that kind of abuse and will continue to take that kind of abuse until or unless they become angry enough to do something about it. That something is to fight back hard and constantly. To continually set the record straight and challenge people who play those kinds of games by getting up front and in their face. There are several ways that could be done, but imo it is up to each and every candidate to do everything in his or her power to defend their honor and reputation.

Rush had a piece the other day about politicians attacking each other and said that is just how the game is played. He said this kind of thing started back when Jefferson was running against Adams in 1800 and so it isn't anything new. He seems to be content to let the candidates go after one another in what ever way they can or will and the best man will be left standing. In the mean time people like you and me and millions of others become more and more disgusted and a lot of us just turn it off.

This campaign has changed some things, and I believe instead of having the attacks come only from the left when we finally do elect a nominee, I think different factions within the republican party will still be fighting one another via nasty ads. The republican party is being torn apart from within and the moderates and conservative factions are causing a lot of angst for one another.
