There is a civil war in Syria already but no one wants to call a spade a spade.

The reason is obvious - According to western media, Assad is a ruthless killer dictator and he is carrying out genocide on poor, defenseless, democracy-seeking, unarmed citizens. And he has to be gotten rid of.

Of course, the truth is that the rebels are well-armed and well supported by F-UK-US as well as the Gulf States and Saudi and we are looking at an armed insurrection.
