We all try and make sense out of things. I suppose if someone surrenders their autonomy to another being real or imaginary because it makes them happy makes some sort of sense. I think the difference between people who believe in imaginary beings is they immediately see differences instead of similarities. They hang onto their reality like a monkey falling out of a tree tries to grab a branch. They're mostly harmless if placated and allowed to rant and rave.
