TJ and your eye doctor have the right idea - humans are designed for tropical weather, not Arctic or high altitude though we can cope with cunning and technology. Snow a kilometre deep beats everyone though [living at the bottom of it]. Eskimos and Mongols can cope with Arctic climates though I dare say they are happy to see summer too.

Skiing should be great in NZ with some reglaciation or even full on reglaciation. The north would be warm enough to live and there would be huge snow fields all over the south. With an A380 you could oscillate between Hawaii or Canada and here - follow the good season [whichever you think that is].
