Such irony, that we have been persecuted for that all these years! But those of us who knew our minds, stoodfast in our confidence, not that we would gain, but that those who were not as lucky as us, would gain. I am sure neither of us ever broke the faith. And it has been a relentless uphill battle, but one our kids are proud of us for waging.

I've wondered why Liberals didn't do something like that a decade ago. In fact, I drafted a 300 word letter to my local paper which included most of that (and some stuff it didn't), but never sent it in as I was waiting for the conservative guy to put in a follow up to his rant about liberals (which he never did). Anyway, this is long overdue. Child labor laws against the 12 hour work days kids used to put in at at slave wages is another item that needs to be included. Also right to organize laws that gave Unions legal protection.

We are getting old, and on the way out, people with a megaphone like lawrence and Chris mathews are fearlessly standing up for what is right. As primates in Africa, is was our job to fight the lion, or attacking tribe to our death to protect our tribe. Just instinct-lol.
