Koan, you have no idea what I care about (except when I directly say I care about something). Also what I care for is irrelevant. My emotions don't change the facts. Restraint of trade, and trying to force wages and working conditions higher than the market will bear for labor with a certain level of skills and productivity in a certain market, will hurt the workers you supposedly care about. I don't know if you do care or not. It doesn't really matter much to me. Horrible policy, pushed by caring people, is still horrible policy.

You never did care what happened to people. This is the heart of the liberal lie. That conservatives don't care. But let's examine the liberal causes: 1. Against child labor in foreign countries The reason that children work is to feed themselves and their families. Take away their work and they starve to death. Liberals would rather children starve to death than work to feed themselves. Great job liberals!!! 2. Force union memberships to get jobs. Unions force higher wages for the workers Businesses look to their survival and profitability (as they should), they find workers who are willing to do the same job for less money in other countries. Jobs move overseas. Liberals bitch about lack of domestic jobs when they are the ones who caused the situation. Rock On Liberals! 3. Raise Minimum Wage Same result as #2. If the job isn't worth more money, then the business will eliminate the position. So instead of more people making less money. You have fewer people making more money. Yeah Liberals! 4. Affirmative Action a. Businesses have to worry about legal action if they fire a minority, gay, woman, elderly, for cause. Result, businesses find valid reasons to avoid hiring protected classes. b. Since standards are lowered for protected classes, it is easy to dismiss the qualifications of those who get into a college or get a job. Further, it insults the individuals in the protected classes by suggesting that they are not good enough to get the position on their own. Way to kill self esteem Liberals!!! 5. Economic Stimulus Cash for Clunkers causes a momentary spike in sales in the auto industry which is followed by a slump in sales. They robbed future sales for immediate economic gratification. The story of Liberaland boiled down to its essence. The fact is, liberals don't give a flying f*ck about what the actual results of their programs are. All that they care about is that people recognize their good intentions. Well, the road to hell has been paved with liberal good intentions and it is now a 14 lane superhighway to hell. but at least you get to pat yourself on the back for being such a swell guy.
