Gawd, I guess not! I have said this before but will repeat; in the past it was always housing that got the economy going again after a downturn. The reason for this should be obvious - as interest rates fell, housing became easier. This time around I'm guessing even you would agree that's NOT going to happen. That's not Obama's fault for goodness sake. It is also one reason why interest rates have gone so low and stayed there - no one wants to borrow the money. People are deleveraging. No one needs or wants a home! The usual fix is consequently non-existant. This all has been obvious from the start of the down turn, from way before Obama.

So the lack of demand that has been fueled by housing in the past will be replaced by what? Serious question; where do you see demand coming from?
