Pretty difficult to explain given that Christina Romer said two years ago that the effects of the "fiscal stimulus" were over.

Of course, Obama may get unjustified credit if things turn around; but rationally, there is just no way to support the claim that the stimulus was anything other than a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. It did nothing.
