"Never could abide a liar though." They are both in melt-down. The truth of the matter is plain. They cannot lie and deny, lie and deny, lie and deny...forever. It eats out their guts because they KNOW deep down in their cowardly souls that their "faith" is a lie. They know that barbarian stories are barbarian stories. They know that science is NOT lying. They know that all their cheap talk and their misrepresentations and ugly lies merely front an abysmal Cowardice that they have carried their whole life--a terror of reality that dogs their every move and worries their every step like a pack of angry dogs at their ankles. Yes, they pretend to hate you and me--and many many others. They call you Communist or Catholic (because they consider Catholics as more irreligious than atheists!)...and any other crap that pops into their head which they consider derogatory. But what they truly hate is the fact that reality is REAL and magic merely pretends that it is not real...but does not change the fact that it is! They have infantile minds which they try to keep from crossing into adult awareness. But it is like swimming in the ocean and pretending you are not wet! The facts HAMMER at them post after post and day after day and experience after experience. They know they are LIVING A LIE...and by Christ...that would make anybody explode in an apoplectic fit! I commend you for the restraint you showed in handling those filthy lies and deliberate misrepresentations...and for handling such deranged violence with understanding and skill. I certainly hope (as I know you do, as well) that both of them find a path to mental and emotional recovery.
