That does look funny. Somebody spent a fortune digging all that up, only to spend more money building that bunker and guarding it, and putting the gold back into a hole, albeit in more concentrated form.

The gold bugs are getting a bit edgy with the Nasdaq roaring, mobile Cyberspace soaring, while they pay minder's fees and wonder if their gold is actually made of tungsten and is still present and accounted for or was magnetically moved by quantum tunneling to some destination other than its assigned bunker.

There is a push for a gold standard by gold bugs, but that's not going to happen and Big Ben is sitting tough. They say "Don't fight the Fed". Maybe words of wisdom.
