First, you don't seem to see the need for labor laws? As I keep asking Bob. When and where were working conditions ever better for workers before we got unions? No where, is the answer. That is a simple historical fact you and Bob seem unaware of, or cannot make the connection?

Secondly, take Apple computers for instance. They are sitting on 100 billion dollars. Richest corporation in history. They exported the jobs to China, but not the labor laws. They could afford to make sure the people who worked at their factories were treated well. That is their moral obligation. But Jobs didn't care, just like you and Bob. Sort of ironic, Bob being so religious, but having little concern for people's suffering.

One factory has something like 450,000 people. They have constant suicides the working conditions are so bad and they put nets to try and save workers who jump from the buildings.

All Steve Jobs had to do was make humane working conditions a part of the contract.

A person of moral character would have done that. Apparently Jobs did not have a high moral character. Maybe reason his kids didn't like him.

There is no way to defend what apple is doing, or most of the other corporatons who use foreign sweathops. They can still make plenty of money while ensuring humane working conditions.

Seems like only liberals worry about that stuff. conservatives jsut say: "let them suffer".
