difco - this was a good one! Blackstone did book EI. I agree that they need to be more fair in reporting their real income..

BX - they should have called it BlackBox instead of Blackstone.The numbers I their 10q are not comprehensible to me. Lot's of debt too and continued acquisitions (Ponzi scheme alert). I assume that most debt is at the subsidiary level and not guaranteed by BX but no knows. I think this is just too hard for me to figure out what is going on, so I am just going to avoid this. Every time, management comes up with non GAAP metrics to measure their business performance, extreme caution is warranted, IMO.
