The title is a bit off in that Americans over the long run are not losing their jobs, they are changing their jobs, but manufacturing jobs are "lost" mostly do to higher productivity, where we can do more with fewer people. Some portray that as a bad thing, but its a great thing, and the only way to get continued broad increases in wealth over the long run.
