I truly think fear drives more people away than attracts people. As for guilt, my faith offers deliverance from it .... but guilt itself is a fact of life. Take a good look at human history and behavior ... guilt is realistic.

Don't forget that the threat of going to heaven can really drive people away from the bible! People who become slavish slaves to the supernatural are courageous enough to face their fears of heaven. They are NOT spineless little cowards who would drown their own mother if they thought they could save the misshapen little soul they pretend to believe they have! NO THEY ARE NOT!!

Too bad so many people will not take responsibility but pretend that everyone is equally deserving of unearned guilt and unearned forgiveness, so that they can do as they damn well please--including disrupting normal communication on bulletin boards with puerile screeching and threats and deliberate misrepresentations and slanders!! Stunned simpletons! It is a great system for those with no responsibility for their own behaviour. They blame a myth fellow named Adam for their guilt. They credit a myth fellow named Jesus, son and father of Jesus for their cleansing. And they use these beliefs to justify the most ugly behaviour humans are capable of. As one of them famously said: "Kill them all and let God sort it out" :-(
