<<<Agreed. The nonsense of "cutting taxes" is as tired the dem's mantra of "taxing the wealthy".

Why, the flat tax approach isn't being discussed more than it has been, is unfortunate.>>>

We agree. Do I regret my vote against McCain - not for a second. When McCain ran against Bush - gee when was that, 2000, I actually donated money to the "straight talking John". But he became a bitter old man after losing to Bush and his militarism scared me - remember I support Ron Paul now. There are likely no two people in politics further apart on this issue as Ron Paul and John McCain - so no, I remain proud of my vote. Annnnnnnd, there is no way we know if that is an error because we haven't a clue as to what kind of President McCain would have become.

I would support higher taxes and reduced spending, except I know that if we give the Pigs in Washington more tax dollars they will not honor any commitment to reduce spending. In fact they will raise spending even more and tell us what a great job they are doing.

Unfortunate is an understatement.....

Not only is it needed to broaden the tax base so everyone pays something, even lower income types, but I see it as the simplest way of stopping crony capitalism which is why we got into this mess to begin with...... Everyone has an iron in the fire..... No more bribing congress critters for tax breaks etc.....
