I agree we could use better leadership now, and that Obamacare was a bad idea (not just for economic reasons but that's part of the negative package), and that the funding of all these green companies was irresonponsible and wasteful of money.

Obama's decisions clearly had a negative impact.

My point is that if you reverse all those negative decisions, plus new regulations, and talk of more new regulations and taxes, and the economy would still probably not be very healthy right now, so I don't think you can put 100% of this on new government action and policy (and thus not 100% on Obama). Without Obama, Pelosi, and Reid's policies we would have a lower current debt and deficit, and less extra spending and thus deficits going forward. We would have less regulation getting in the way and less fear of tax increases, we would probably be closer to a healthy economy, but I don't think we would be there yet.

This also works the other way around, when the economy is good the sitting president grabs credit for it, but a lot has to do with things beyond the president's control. I'd say that's particularly true about Clinton's presidency, but its true to an extent with other presidents.
