Not a stretch at all. Had a constitutional convention in Maryland a long time ago and that is exactly what happened. The result was the changes did not pass, which was far better than passing the requested changes.

My solution is simply to use your vote to throw them out, use your vote. I think we are approaching critidal mass. Soon enough people will be disgusted enough to do this (well at least I hope so)
