Majority of Dems in congress prefer to ignore the greater good of the USA and future generations of Americans. If they can promise voters all sorts of bogus freebies during re-election campaigns, that's the way they'll go. Buying votes has always been their strategy during election campaigns. Their motto should be: "promise them anything, then continue to enrich yourself at their expense."
