Green energy in the US raises costs and decreases competitiveness. I note - green energy does not displace oil. In the US it is simply a payoff. I doubt Ron Paul supports this waste.

To the extent the "winner" is determined with subsidies and targeted tax breaks and other government boosts all we know is that it won the political contest, not that its a real winner in the sense of being a better solution.
