Majority of Dems in congress prefer to ignore the greater good of the USA and future generations of Americans

Unfortunately this is true of too many politicians from both parties. Once they get power, the only thing that matters is keeping it. Many, from both parties enter politics for good reasons, but get corrupted by the system. The only answer that I see is much smaller govt so that the prize isn't worth selling your soul for.
