<<<We have $50 to $80 Trillion of unfunded liabilities >>>>

I really can't follow your thinking. I'm sorry and I'm sure it is my fault, but to follow your comments after this quote leaves me nothing but confusion.

For instance, I'll address just your first comment on housing ; What does forgiveness of principle of real estate have to do with 50 Trillion of unfunded liabilities? AND how in the world do you get banks to write down principle? Obama is already giving them incentives (new ones just last week by the way). Sooooo, you agree with policy of Obama? Banks ARE NOT now writing down any meaningful amounts - some but a darn small amount. If we depend on banks it will take many decades to clear these mortgages at this rate. How do we get the write downs????

<<CUT spending and address the unfunded liabilities >>

There's only one willing to really do that and that is Ron Paul. Bush said he was going to balance the budget too and how did that work out. I think republicans are naive in the extreme that Romney will cut more than Obama. Primarily because they won't touch the military. Paul will cut all of them. Not to peck away at your 50 trillion one billion at a time, but real cutting.
