Digital Cameras:

I've been discussing the concept of digital cameras with a friend of mine and have concluded that they are still a ways from mainstream usage, even when the Clik! arrives. The problem boils down to price. Even with Clik!, a decent digital camera is going to cost at least $400. Why would the average consumer shell out that much for a camera? In addition, how much would it cost to have the digital pictures printed onto photo quality paper?

On the other hand, it seems that even the current crop of medium quality cameras seems to be selling decently...there must be at least two dozen different cameras available for sale. Having examined the current cameras, it seems that 4 MB flash is the current "sweet spot." It seems every camera comes with 4 MBs...with the Clik! internal's priced around $100 and $10 per 40 MB disk, it will at the very least create a new segment of the market.
