I do not disagree with that other than to say Obama, or any president, that allows that to happen without trying to give at least the appearance of doing something, will pay a heavy political price. Obama is trying to thread the needle, but it is a limp thread.

With Fannie and Freddie holding (I would guess) most of the secondary market, what do you think the chances are of that happening?

Regardless of who is president, both GSE's are into the taxpayer big time.
