John, I think the difference is between what you or I consider racist and what the rest of the world thinks is racist. If i say "yada yada is racist" am I saying I think yada yada is racist or am I saying the majority in our culture think yada yada is racist? I think its the later, unless I specifically say I personally think yada yada is racist, I am only giving you an opinion of what I think most people believe.
