Am I not privy because I didn't call, or because someone didn't "leak" it to me? Big difference.

Also, if the stock reacted simalarly based on the bad news, up 10% instead of currently being down 10%, then no I wouldn't mind. ;-)

I don't think you're catching my point. It's one I raised a while back when this came up. What's the definition of "insider info"? Many times companies release revenue figures or estimates, etc. If they're good or bad, is that insider info. Is it insider info if I can call and get the same info? In other words, who determines what's not to be released over the phone but as a press release? Is releasing by press release the "stated" vehicle? Is this written down somewhere? Bottom line, I'm trying to say, based on the stock price, it seems to be a moot point, neh? I have a feeling the definition of "insider info" is determined by the SEC after the fact based on the MATERIAL affect of the information on the stock price.

What would be your reaction if the garnered info, had been bad news. Now imagine you are not privy to this news, yet obviously others are and thier dumping the stock, yet your holding and wondering. Is that fair? It's not always good news, In "20-20 hindsight" where do you think the stock price would be with bad news?

Well, that's sort of moot. Have you seen any dumping? NO.

What do you think of selective disclosure?

Addressed this in a previous response to you.
