The way I look at is sort of like this: At any step forward from the "brain" of the first bacteria--the gulf between that brain and future brains was immense. Now consider where we are today and what we KNOW today?! The thing is that we have followed a certain preordained path mirroring the bacteria on an orange proliferating which indicates some balances must be sought . And there's still certain direct connections to primitive howler monkeys some humans still resemble so the question that someday advances in an 'honest' culture where increase of mental intelligence of similar magnitude of order , is something we all can dream . ( "they" only come out at night to HOWL feed & defecate , eek !) But that is a real positive thought and we are such stuff as dreams are made of and mirrors our ability to flex & be flexible in assessing together reasonably , all possibilities marvelously , far ranging & authentically .
