To ALL: Interesting sentence...

Collinge hinted that "the story is not over" regarding system-level uses of the Amati technology, and that TI could sell or license rights to system designs outside the rights Westell has picked up.

This is my take. Westell has certain rights to manufacture and sell the Allegro ADSL modem and certain non-DSL products of Amati. TI is willing to license OTHER rights outside those rights WESTELL HAS PICKED UP. This sounds like Westell is the only vendor that is going to sell and manufacture the Allegro ADSL modem... until later.

<... For a two-pair version of high-bit-rate DSL, or HDSL-2...>

Wirbel is usually more careful than this. HDSL-2 is a SINGLE pair version of HDSL.

Hi Bill, Hal, Trey et all:

I feel comfortable that there is more good to come for wstl. I am also
glad that we are on one page or rather on one line of the page to see
a gradual appreciation of WSTL's price.

I like the statement from wstl which says, "thought of bidding higher
but changed the idea after seeing what they got" or something like that...talks volumes of the deal.

As for options: Still searching for a right strategy...
