One of the reasons you gave was the votes of confidence. My point is that it might not be much of a reason to prefer a parliamentary system.

The party in power usually wins them, and the fact that the party in power will suffer it it doesn't win them is reason for that party to support the executive even in questionable cases. Also the party in the legislature is always the same as that in the executive so you may have less of a check on the executive.
