WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says President Barack Obama's compromise on birth control coverage isn't good enough, so he'll push for a vote on legislation that would exempt any organization that has moral objections to the requirement. McConnell says the issue "will not go away until the administration backs down."

Obama's latest plan would not force religious-affiliated organizations such as Catholic hospitals and collages to provide or pay for birth control for their employees. But it would allow those employees access free contraceptives directly from their health insurer.
