I grew up surrounded by ignorant superstitious people. Although ignorant, they recognized people who knew more than them and there was a silent ressentment that needed to vented. "She raises her children as rich people." I was 13 but I still remember our neighbor saying that about my mother. (she spoke like speaking to herself but she wants us to hear.) Forcing kids to behave, in her ignorance, was to be like rich people. Whenever they had an opportunity they would nag me. Thus I can recognize through my life ignorant people as people whom, although you do nothing to them, they try to find an opportunity to disturb you. Kind like their ignorance hurts them if they see a non-ignorant person around them. I know how to deal with ignorant people very well.

You sent me back to 35 years ago to David Reisman "The Lonely Crowd" The Internet is full of people who were pre-conditioned. Then the Internet opened up (for them as well as for outsiders) a world where people who are not pre-conditioned but are conversant with the English language. They are discovering that there are people more free than they are. (pre-conditioning preempts free thinking) This people also discover that, owing to free thinking, they have to start thinking in a different manner and relearn what they thpught they knew for sure.
