Every American president is faced with the offer of being a "war president", with all the political benefits that brings. He's suddenly presented with the world's premiere military and dozens of senior generals and admirals just itching to do what they've been trained their entire lives to do. The bestest set of Army Men a boy could ever hope for. Maybe we need to start electing women. What we need to do is downscale our military to a defensive force, as all the other nations on Earth have done. We are the ONLY country left that goes to war anymore, other than civil wars. We need to remove the temptation from our leaders.
