Because many top economists see it differently Oh yeah? Who besides your hero Krugman is stupid enough to still be a Keynesian,,, even though it's be thoroughly discredited by the author..... and the right wing will not let Obama cut defense or raise taxes. Economists don't look at the big picture of what seems to happen every time we cut back on defence........WE GET A FRICKEN WAR..... Defense is one of the few things that the constitution authorizes that we blow money on. We're taxed enough already..... BTW even if you raised taxes revenue wouldn't go up just ask the governor of Maryland about the last time he hiked taxes. Worked the opposite, revenue went down, go figure. Ever hear of the Laffer curve? Learn about it. And their ideas to cut social security are misguided. Medicare does need an overhall. But a smart overhaul and no stinken vouchers (which would be worthless)! Hey, if you're so smart, why not tell us how you'd control the debt and keep all your socialist goodies?
